NormalDance Protocol

NDP is an open protocol for music identification and rights accounting. An audio file becomes a self-contained object: the rights manifest (NDT) is embedded into the file itself, the perceptual fingerprint (ADNA) identifies the track in any copy, remix or third-party mix, and the settlement engine automatically splits royalties across everyone in the creation chain.

Protocol principle

Not enforcement, not surveillance — transparency instead of policing. NDP never blocks or seizes content: it records authorship, priority and shares; dispute resolution stays with people and courts.

Where to start

I want to… Page
protect a track right now Quick start
understand depositing and what's included Deposit
verify a track or a fingerprint Verify
work in the artist cabinet Cabinet
get a verified rights-holder passport Passport
show rights to partners: artist card, certificate Cards
understand payouts and splits Payouts
integrate: HTTP API, MCP for AI agents, CLI Developers

How it works — in three lines

  1. Deposit — you submit a track; the protocol computes the ADNA fingerprint, builds the NDT manifest (rights holders, splits Σ=100, ISRC) and records it in the Stage 0 registry with a priority timestamp.
  2. Identification — any fragment can be checked via the oracle: similarity ≥0.90 — same track; 0.75–0.90 — derivative (remix/sample); below — unrelated.
  3. Settlement — usage events become obligations in minor units, cascaded down the chain: sample → track → remix, up to 10 levels deep.
